About this grant
INESC is a Brazilian research and education organization that promotes sustainability in economic and social policy. This grant will provide continued support for the project Rede Brasil: Brazilian Network on Multilateral Financial Institutions. Rede Brasil is a network of over 80 nongovernmental organizations that has been instrumental in increasing public participation in decisionmaking about Brazilian economic policy and related infrastructure and energy investments. Rede Brasil monitors investments from public and private international financial institutions, as well as regional finance mechanisms such as the Brazilian Bank for Economic and Social Development and the newly created Bank of the South. Over the next two years, Rede Brazil members will focus on educating and informing parliamentarians, as well as strengthening the network’s linkages with Latin American and international nongovernmental organizations working to make regional integration investments more sustainable.
