About this grant
This grant will support Child Development for Kids, Inc., in continuing to manage the Massachusetts statewide afterschool network which expands and supports high quality afterschool programs so that Massachusetts’ children are safe, supervised, and prepared to lead productive lives. This grantee is part of the second cohort of Mott-funded, statewide afterschool networks. This renewal continues to provide core support to the network, while also encouraging new ideas designed to align and integrate afterschool and education systems. In addition to continuing its work in building the field of afterschool in Massachusetts, the network will develop an initiative to build positive, systemic change that furthers cooperative school-linked, afterschool programs. The network will share lessons learned and products with the national network of statewide afterschool networks.
