About this grant
For more than 80 years, the United Way of Genesee County has supported a network of local nonprofit human service and health organizations. To better serve the needs of local residents, the United Way focuses its funding priorities in four areas: basic needs, youth development, strengthening families, and older adults. It also administers several large-scale projects, including the Bridges to the Future afterschool program that operates in all Genesee County school districts. This grant will enable the organization to continue these various activities as it works to enlarge its donor base and transition from a General Motors-driven campaign to a more diversified pool of workplace and individual funders.
