About this grant
This grant provides support for Washington University’s research, communications, and policy development work on children’s savings account strategies at the state and national levels. In the short-term, the grantee’s goal is to increase the amounts families save for their children’s education and, in doing so, increase postsecondary education access and completion rates, particularly among low- and moderate-income students. In the long term, the grantee views children’s savings accounts as the initial phase of a broader effort to embed inclusive and lifelong asset-building opportunities into the fabric of domestic social policy in ways that support educational, economic development, and financial security goals.
