About this grant

The purpose of this renewal grant to the Corporation for a Skilled Workforce is to continue support for the mid-Michigan Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development initiative, known as WIRED, through activities that will improve services for entrepreneurs and small businesses, and assist in understanding and changing public opinion about economic opportunity within the region. A second purpose is to create a next-generation, adult education system that supports and advances the state of Michigan’s No Worker Left Behind initiative and other workforce transformation efforts.
