About this grant
Independence Care System (ICS) operates a Medicaid-managed, long-term care plan that provides and coordinates a comprehensive range of health and social services for individuals with severe disabilities.This grant will enable Independence Care System to expand into Brooklyn, add approximately 1,000 members, employ 1,500 healthcare aides by the end of 2006 and sustain career opportunities for a large number of home healthcare workers.ICS is a nonprofit organization committed to assisting people with disabilities to live independently. During the past year, ICS increased its membership from 600 to 735.
