About this grant
Project QUEST is a nationally recognized sectoral employment program that defines the skills required to succeed in targeted, hard-to-fill occupations and recruits, trains and develops adult workers so that they are qualified and ready for employment.This grant will provide continued support to Project QUEST, demonstrating the social and economic benefits achieved through investments in comprehensive skills training. The support will also build the capacity of the agency to participate in a random assignment evaluation verifying the social and economic benefits it delivers to its graduates. Project QUEST has placed more than 2,100 participants in jobs providing family-sustaining wage levels. Alumni graduating in 2005 had a pre-training income of $8,457 and a $32,000 average income one year after graduation.
