About this grant

The project goal is to stimulate local philanthropy and improve the capacity for strategic grantmaking that supports the participation of women in decisionmaking processes at local and national levels in Serbia. To this end, the grant supports the institutional and programmatic development of the Reconstruction Women’s Fund, a Serbian grantmaking organization. During the grant period, Mott support will allow the grantee to increase networking with other women’s initiatives in Serbia and internationally, broaden fundraising efforts, promote the fund’s activities to a wider audience, and provide training to the fund’s grantees. During the past two years, the fund developed its nongrantmaking activities including publishing and direct training and technical assistance to vulnerable groups, raised awareness of the fund by increasing collaboration with women’s initiatives in Serbia and regional networks, and provided professional development opportunities for key staff. The fund is based in Belgrade, Serbia, and works throughout Serbia.
