About this grant

The project goal is to improve the capacity for strategic grantmaking that supports the participation of women in decisionmaking processes at local and national levels in Serbia. To this end, this grant supports the institutional and programmatic development of the Reconstruction Women’s Fund, a Serbian grantmaking organization. Specifically, during the grant period, the grantee will engage individual donors and other local sources of support in its work, strengthen outreach to young women by including them in programs and as volunteers in the organization, improve monitoring and evaluation systems across all program areas, expand and deepen partnerships with other civil society organizations, and develop long-term sustainability strategies. During the past two years, the grantee piloted new approaches to local fundraising, diversified its funding base, developed a multiyear strategic plan, engaged new volunteers, and expanded and scaled up new programming. The grantee is based in Belgrade, Serbia, and works throughout Serbia.
