About this grant
Community Voices Heard is a community organization that started in New York City with a broad base of low-income leaders working to improve economic opportunity by impacting the shape of public policies and the administration of programs affecting poor people. The grantee has trained more than 15,000 people and has 3,750 dues-paying members. The purpose of this project is to support the continued expansion of the organizing model in other cities in New York, and to help increase the capacity of the grantee to support a wider range of work while continuing to be successful in New York City.
