About this grant

Community Voices Heard is a community organization in New York City with a broad base of low-income leaders working to improve economic opportunity by helping to shape public policies and the administration of programs affecting poor people.This grant will support the expansion of the organizing model in other cities in New York and help increase the capacity of the organization to support a wider range of work while continuing to be successful in New York City.The organization, founded in 1996, has trained more than 6,000 people and has 2,500 dues-paying members.
