About this grant
Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties provides intervention services for individuals and families in crisis including daily hot meals, sack lunches, hygiene and basic needs items, and summer youth camps through services at the North End Soup Kitchen and its extension sites. While remodeling the kitchen at North End Soup Kitchen, the grantee has encountered higher-than-anticipated expenses due to the discovery of asbestos and the fact that the current stove hood covers are not viable in the new configuration. With this increase, the North End Soup Kitchen will continue to remodel its kitchen in order to increase overall functionality and install two high quality ovens that were recently donated.
