About this grant
Parents for Public Schools works to overcome barriers such as race, ethnicity, and income in order to build a broad-based organization of parents working together to improve their schools. The national office of Parents for Public Schools provides training and technical assistance to local chapters, especially those reaching out to underrepresented families. The general purpose grant has provided partial support to Parents for Public Schools as the organization continued to expand and strengthen its network of parent-based chapters. This grant increase will support the organization’s increased focus on communications and evaluation as part of the work in Mississippi, as well as an expanded partnership with the Institute for Parent Leadership to provide additional training to members.
