About this grant
DOCKDA Rural Development Agency is a community grantmaker that supports community-based organizations working in the Northern Cape Province in South Africa. It makes small grants and provides capacity development training to organizations working in the John Taolo Gaetsewe district in Kuruman, Northern Cape. Previous support enabled the grantee to provide training to community-based organizations in the district, conduct research on topical issues affecting the communities it serves, and set up a field office in the village of Batlharos to improve access. This grant will support the grantee to continue providing training to leaders of community-based organizations, making grants in response to various needs in the communities it serves, and implementing programs that promote gender equity. The grantee will also work with schools to provide training on topics related to the personal and social well being of students.
