About this grant
The West Coast Community Foundation was established in 1998 to support community-led development in the West Coast region of the Western Cape Province in South Africa. It makes grants and trains community-based organizations to respond effectively to development needs in their communities. Previous support enabled the grantee to train community-based organizations, refine its grantmaking approach to ensure that it is responsive to local needs, improve communication tools to strengthen the grantee’s profile and visibility, and strengthen partnerships with communities and other sectors that impact its work. This grant will support the continuation of these activities.
