About this grant
This grant will enable Michigan Future, Inc., to lead a multiyear project designed to provide Michigan leaders with new ideas on how to better position Michigan for success in an increasingly knowledge-driven and entrepreneurial economy. To develop and communicate this agenda, Michigan Future, Inc., will examine characteristics of successful regions around the country and engage the state’s key thought leaders in debating which of those ideas would best help move Michigan forward. The final recommendations resulting from the series of caucuses would be synthesized and disseminated through a strategic communications plan designed to build a new, nonpartisan constituency for the proposed new agenda. Michigan Future, Inc., has assembled a diverse team of experts to implement the research agenda, and a geographically diverse leadership council to provide overall project direction.
