About this grant
This grant will support the Children’s Services Council of Florida which coordinates the Florida Statewide Afterschool Network to continue development of policy, partnerships, and funding to benefit youth in afterschool programs. The network’s specific initiatives will include: 1) increasing communications activities to build public awareness about the importance of out-of-school time; 2) developing a comprehensive plan to increase resources for afterschool programs and the network; and 3) creating a Pathway to Quality workgroup to increase professional development on Florida’s quality standards for afterschool programs.
