About this grant
This grant continues support to the Center for Arab American Philanthropy, which is a national program of the Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services. The goal is to encourage strategic philanthropy in the Arab-American community through research, training, technical assistance and development of informational materials; conduct donor outreach activities; and provide donor services such as donor-advised funds. This program is evolving into a national ethnic community foundation. Activities during the next year will include developing a communications and marketing plan; providing professional development for the center’s advisory board; expanding donor services and donor-advised funds; creating a plan to build a permanent endowment; and conducting research on faith-based grantmaking. An advisory board of Arab-American philanthropists will continue to provide overall guidance for programs and services to help institutionalize and sustain the program.
