About this grant
The River Alliance of Wisconsin, a statewide environmental organization, has a strong commitment to improving the health of Great Lakes’ waterways. With prior Mott funding, the grantee helped maintain public support for water quality protections, engaged in state processes for implementing the Great Lakes Compact, helped finalize a revitalization plan for the Root River, and participated in regional freshwater policy discussions. With this grant, the grantee will build on these efforts and also work to revitalize the Manitowoc River, provide capacity building assistance to watershed groups, monitor the implementation of hydropower relicenses, advance priority fish passage projects, and invest in its own organizational development.
