About this grant

The River Alliance of Wisconsin was established in 1993 to protect and restore Wisconsin’s rivers. With a membership of river and watershed groups, as well as individual citizens, the River Alliance seeks to educate the state’s residents about the importance of healthy rivers and streams; develop and promote public policies to protect and restore those waterways; and help build the capacity of local river protection groups around the state. This grant will help the alliance implement its policy, capacity building, and river restoration programs in the Great Lakes portion of the state, as well as help build its own capacity.
