About this grant

Multiyear funding will enable the Urban Institute to conduct an outcomes evaluation of the impacts of the Workforce Investment Act by using data from the Longitudinal Employer Household Dynamics Program at the Census Bureau. Results from the evaluation could affect future reauthorization of the Workforce Investment Act and show how one-stop offices across the country use their allocated funds. In addition, the project could impact both research and practice in the area of econometric program evaluation, and provide plausible alternatives to costly and time-consuming random assignment evaluations. The Urban Institute, founded in 1968, is a nonpartisan, economic and social policy research organization.
