About this grant

Multiyear funding will support a collaboration of the National Governors Association, the National Network of Sector Partners and the Corporation for a Skilled Workforce, created to increase opportunities for states to promote specific industry sector initiatives. Activities will include expanding and institutionalizing sectoral strategies in states where they have been established; increasing the number of states that establish sectoral strategies; and building knowledge of sectoral strategies in states that have limited knowledge of them in order to increase the number of states where policy formation is underway. The National Governors Association Center for Best Practices was established to help governors and their staff develop and implement innovative solutions to the governance and policy challenges facing them in their states.
