About this grant

Chrysalis has provided transitional and temporary employment opportunities to the chronic homeless population of Los Angeles’ skid row since 1986. With a reputation as an exemplary program serving one of the hardest-to-serve populations, Chrysalis is a national model of market-based, workforce development. Despite its successes, Chrysalis is struggling to keep up with the demand created by approximately 91,000 homeless people per day in Los Angeles County. This grant increase will provide support for documentation of Chrysalis’ efforts to develop new market-based transitional employment strategies for the hard-to-employ.
