About this grant
The overall goal of this grant is to increase participation in the federally mandated Trade Adjustment Assistance program by making Michigan, and especially the Greater Flint-Saginaw region’s community groups, local governments, and workforce agencies, more knowledgeable about program rules, more informed about the program’s shortcomings, and more prepared to work together to improve its administration and address its deficiencies. In addition, the National Employment Law Project has enlisted assistance from its national partner, The Workforce Alliance, to assist with outreach to Michigan’s workforce development leaders to improve access to workforce training under the state’s workforce development, vocational education, and regional economic development programs.
