About this grant
The Applied Research Center is an independent public policy research institute focusing on issues of race and equity. The center’s director of 15 years will be retiring this year and passing leadership of the organization on to an internal candidate who will assume the position of president and executive director.This grant will enable the center to undertake a strategic planning process aimed at reassessing and refining its strategic direction through board retreats, conducting an environmental scan, assessing organizational strengths and weaknesses and increasing staff and board investment in the goals of the organization.
