About this grant
This grant to Specialized Employment Services, Inc., will support the Flint STRIVE Academy Youth Empowerment Program for at-risk youth ages 14-18. The program provides young people with an employment experience during the summer months and follow-up support services during the school year. Through attitudinal training, skill enhancement, mentoring, and tutoring, the goal is to encourage youth to complete high school and to empower them to make informed career decisions.
