About this grant
The Minnesota Environmental Partnership, an independent statewide network of more than 80 groups, has a long-term commitment to Lake Superior through its Northeast Minnesota Program. With prior Mott support, the partnership strengthened the capacity of freshwater groups, addressed Great Lakes’ interests through state-level public policy initiatives, and represented Minnesota in regional policy discussions. With continued support, the grantee will maintain these programs with a focus on addressing issues such as the spread of aquatic invasive species and water pollution from proposed mining of sulfide-based ores. The grantee will also build organizational capacity through a variety of means.
