About this grant

The Minnesota Environmental Partnership has been the state’s leading coalition of over 70 conservation and environmental groups since 1998. With previous support from the Mott Foundation, the grantee has helped protect Lake Superior from water quality, invasive species, and other threats and has represented Minnesota groups at the Healing Our Waters Coalition, a region-wide organization of Mott grantees and partners. The grantee has taken important steps to strengthen its engagement with tribal organizations. With renewed support, the grantee will continue important work on invasive species, clean water, resource extraction and leading Minnesota groups to engage with the broader coalition of Great Lakes leaders. This grant includes a one-time increase to enable the group to complete strategic planning, including an emphasis on broadening engagement with tribes and expanding its communication expertise with state-wide polling on key issues.
