About this grant
River Network is a national organization that provides technical assistance to environmental nonprofits working to improve water quality in their states’ lakes and rivers. With previous support, the grantee helped groups in the Great Lakes and Southeast increase their expertise on the Clean Water Act, work with state and municipal partners to better manage stormwater pollution, and improve selected ecosystems’ abilities to absorb and filter rainwater. With renewed funding, the grantee will help state-level environmental organizations, watershed groups, and other diverse stakeholders in the Great Lakes understand how Clean Water Act tools can improve water quality. River Network will provide groups with Clean Water Act research and information, trainings, and consulting services and will also facilitate collaborative efforts.
