About this grant
Oil Change International is a research and policy reform organization working to encourage progress in reducing emissions from greenhouse gases and address energy access for the poor in developing countries. The grantee’s international program focuses on reforming the energy-related lending of public multilateral financial institutions, export credit agencies, key private financial institutions, and government subsidies for fossil fuels. Over the last grant period, the grantee helped to secure positive policy shifts in World Bank lending on energy and provided key policy research on fossil fuel subsidies. For the next grant period, it will continue its work analyzing and researching the scope, as well as the environmental and social implications, of current global fossil fuel subsidies. In addition, the grantee will continue its leadership in an international nongovernmental organization coalition to build awareness among emerging market countries’ decisionmakers.
