About this grant
This is one of ten grants recommended to state organizations participating in the State Fiscal Analysis Initiative. The Ford, Casey, and Mott foundations created the initiative in 1992 in order to build state capacity for timely, credible, and accessible tax and budget analyses on behalf of low- and moderate-income families. Hope Enterprise Corporation joined the initiative in 1994 and is recognized throughout Mississippi as an authoritative source of information and analysis. Activities planned for the grant period include research, strategic communications, and coalition building efforts. Related to this project is a grant to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, which analyzes federal budget and tax policy issues and provides technical assistance to all the state organizations participating in this initiative.
