About this grant
PLATFORM is active with the international network of nongovernmental organizations working to reform international financial institutions and private banks’ lending in the energy sector. In recent years, it has assisted communities in Africa and Central Asia to address the impacts of energy projects in their countries, which has led to changes in oil and gas contracts as well as greater transparency. This grant increase will allow the grantee to continue its work to reduce the negative impacts of new energy infrastructure projects on the environment. In addition, it will expand the audience for their research to reach a wider range of civil society organizations in Africa.
