About this grant
Michigan State University established the Prima Civitas program to aid regional economic development in mid-Michigan. This grant to the university will enable Prima Civitas to manage the three-year, $15 million Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development grant program. Prima Civitas will work to attract additional resources to grow the economic development infrastructure in ways that benefit the many diverse communities of mid-Michigan. This economic development infrastructure will play a pivotal role in the region’s ability to attract companies in the emerging business sectors that ultimately will be the job providers of the future global economy.
