About this grant

Over four million Americans work in call centers answering telephones for companies that pay them to take reservations, resolve billing issues, provide product information, take orders, and provide technical support. As of January 2006, an estimated 112,000 of these agents worked from home-based workstations. This grant will provide partial support to the National Telecommuting Institute, Inc., as it continues to develop strategies to create call-center jobs for homebound individuals with disabilities.
