About this grant
This grant will provide gap funding for Jewish Community Services to continue to provide senior nutrition and transportation services until the Senior Services millage passed in Genesee County is implemented. As the community’s population ages, requests for nutrition and transportation assistance continue to increase. At the same time, federal, state and local funding for senior programs has decreased steadily over the past few years. Foundation support will partially cover the costs of Jewish Community Services’ senior nutrition and local transportation programs. Funding through the Senior Services millage will likely become available in 2007.
