About this grant
This grant will provide funds for a pilot project that will provide employment and promote career development for youth aging out of the foster care system. VIP Community Services is implementing a summer pilot of the First Jobs Program, developed by Managed Work Services of Portland, Maine. The program utilizes an alternative staffing employment model coupled with counseling and case management to help youth transition from the foster care system to independence.
