About this grant

The Ohio Environmental Council is a statewide environmental organization that leads efforts to protect and restore Lake Erie and its tributaries. The grantee provides scientific, legal, and policy analyses and technical assistance to citizens, nonprofits, and decisionmakers. With prior Mott support, the grantee helped implement the Great Lakes Compact, prevent invasive species, and address toxic algal blooms in Lake Erie. With renewed support, the grantee will continue these programmatic efforts, launch a new five-year strategic plan, and invest in staff trainings and leadership development opportunities.
