About this grant
This grant will provide partial support to the Flint Institute of Music’s 2015 Music in the Parks concert series. This summer’s series will include six concerts held at sites throughout Genesee County between June and September 2015. The Flint Symphony Orchestra will perform at two concerts, including the downtown Flint concert, which will be held in June with a Flag Day theme. The overall goal of Music in the Parks is to enrich the lives of people in Flint and Genesee County by offering all residents an opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of live musical performances at free summer concerts held throughout the community.
