About this grant
This grant provides partial support to the Flint Institute of Music’s 2016 Music in the Parks concert series. This summer’s series will include four concerts held at sites throughout Genesee County between June and August 2016. The Flint Symphony Orchestra will perform two concerts, including a downtown Flint concert, which will be held following the Crim Festival of Races’ Michigan Mile. Additional Music in the Parks concerts will take place at Crossroads Village, Mott Park, and Max Brandon Park. The overall goal of Music in the Parks is to enrich the lives of people in Flint and Genesee County by offering all residents an opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of live musical performances at these free summer concerts held throughout the community.
