High School Diploma Completion Initiative

About this grant

This grant will provide continued support to Lansing Community College for the further development of its High School Diploma Completion Initiative. The initiative offers students who have dropped out of high school a second chance to earn a diploma. Participating students also simultaneously earn credits toward an associate’s degree and/or other occupational certificate programs while completing their high school graduation requirements. A third phase of support will enable Lansing Community College to strengthen and expand this high school-to-college model for potential replication at other community colleges and educational settings within Michigan and nationally.
