About this grant
The Upper Karoo Advice and Development Agency was established in 2003 to facilitate access to justice for poor and marginalized communities in the Northern Cape province through providing institutional support to community-based advice offices that work in these communities. This grant will assist the Upper Karoo Advice and Development Agency to train and mentor community-based advice offices and paralegals throughout the province to enable them to assist poor and marginalized communities on legal and related social matters. The agency will also advocate for the improvement in the delivery of basic services to poor people and will assist advice offices to initiate sustainable development interventions, particularly economic development projects that advance the interests of poor and marginalized communities.
