About this grant
This grant will enable the Genesee Intermediate School District to support the Genesee Early College. Genesee Early College is an Early College High School that operates in collaboration with the University of Michigan-Flint and six major healthcare facilities. The early college recruits students from anywhere in Genesee and Lapeer counties who are capable of succeeding at the university level and have a genuine interest in health- or STEM-related careers. Genesee Early College gives students the opportunity to earn up to 60 transferable college credits and a high school diploma upon completion of high school. This school has graduated five cohorts with more than 95 percent of these students enrolling in a post-secondary institution.
