About this grant

This grant will allow New Visions for Public Schools to better study and document extended learning opportunities and develop multischool, multipartner strategies to enable an entire community to align existing and new resources around graduating more students prepared to succeed in careers or college. Through a partnership with Policy Studies Associates, New Visions for Public Schools will: 1) research and develop case studies that examine current efforts focused on increasing student achievement through strong community partnerships and extended learning opportunities; and 2) create tools that will help advance local efforts to increase student achievement. This work will help to advance the Mott-funded report, "A New Day for Learning", which examines the opportunity that afterschool provides to make the case for increased collaboration between sectors to support children and youth.
