About this grant
The Flint River and its tributaries are an important recreational resource for the region’s residents while also providing important habitat for a variety of freshwater species and other wildlife. The Flint River Watershed Coalition works to protect the Flint River and its tributaries through a variety of means. With renewal support, the grantee will maintain all of its education and outreach efforts and place a strong emphasis on efforts to encourage restoration activities and engage decisionmakers. In addition, the grantee will focus considerable attention on the revitalization of the waterfront areas in the city of Flint and attend to its own organizational development needs.
