About this grant
The Flint River, which runs through the heart of the city of Flint, is an underutilized asset for both community residents and local businesses. With previous Mott support, the Flint River Watershed Coalition conducted a variety of programs to protect the Flint River and its tributaries and build public awareness about this valuable freshwater resource. With this grant increase, the grantee will continue education and outreach efforts with an emphasis on building public support for restoring the downtown section of the Flint River.
