About this grant
This renewal grant to Genesee County Habitat for Humanity is for the second phase of a housing development plan. The organization is collaborating with neighborhood-based organizations, nonprofit housing organizations, and local units of government to construct 15 new homes in the Grand Traverse neighborhood over a three-year period from 2008-2010. This concentrated development, in a central Flint neighborhood, will include 250 hours of volunteer labor by each partner family, and each home will be ENERGY STAR Certified.
