About this grant
Genesee County Habitat for Humanity works to eliminate poverty and homelessness by partnering with low- and moderate-income families to construct new homes. The organization is partnering with neighborhood-based organizations, nonprofit housing organizations, and local units of government to construct 15 new homes in the Grand Traverse neighborhood over the next three years. This concentrated development in a central Flint neighborhood will include 250 hours of volunteer labor by each partner family, and each home will be Energy Star certified.
