About this grant

Jobs for the Future, in partnership with the National Council for Workforce Education, will implement a High Poverty Area Initiative to build and strengthen post-secondary pathways for low-skilled adults in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. The High Poverty Area Initiative is building upon the implementation design and strategies used previously in Breaking Through, including a funded demonstration site and local/national peer learning opportunities, as well as adapting the Breaking Through structure to a multisector, regional partnership with closely aligned postsecondary and workforce development agendas.
