About this grant
Local Initiatives Support Corporation is dedicated to helping nonprofit community development organizations transform distressed neighborhoods into healthy and sustainable communities of choice and opportunity — good places to work, do business, and raise children. This three-year grant will enable the grantee to provide technical assistance and capacity building support to Michigan’s micro-enterprise practitioners; coordinate a state micro-enterprise association; promote state policy that supports micro-enterprise development; and invest in local, regional or state micro-enterprise loan funds to increase access to capital for emerging entrepreneurs.
