About this grant

Proteus Fund is a national organization that works with individual donors and foundations to advance social equity goals through strategy development, research, and fund management. Since 1997, the grantee has awarded nearly $50 million to organizations across the country that work to promote democracy, human rights, and peace. This grant will provide partial support to the grantee for its Diversity Fellowship Program, which focuses on expanding ethnic minority leadership in the philanthropy profession. The program was developed in 2006 by Associated Grant Makers, which successfully managed three cohorts of program fellows. In 2010, Proteus Fund became the new home for the program and, during the grant period, will place a minimum of four fellows in various philanthropic organizations in the region.
